设计碎碎念记忆法的初衷源于一个朴素的想法：既然都有专门适合太监修炼的武功（葵花宝典），为什么就没有专门适合程序员的背单词方法呢？    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 开个玩笑。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 一杯咖啡，一盏孤灯，一本影印版砖头书，遇到生词就查查字典——程序员的英语学习是阅读驱动的学习。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 不幸的是，老天爷可不管你是程序员还是城管员，也不管你是汽油驱动的还是柴油驱动的，只要是学英语，谁也逃不掉背单词这一关。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 你是一个骄傲、懒惰、没耐心的程序员么？你是否在背单词时倍感痛苦？在一个又一个互相之间毫无关联又似乎无穷无尽的生词面前，我们引以为傲的逻辑思维能力和创造力毫无用处。每读一段都会遇到3、5个生词，它们不停地嘲笑你“还是个菜鸟呦”。不过最让人受不了的还是，这3、5个生词里面往往会有1、2个明明就是不久前刚刚背过的！    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 忘了背，背了忘，背了又再忘……难道我们的大脑还不如一块200块钱的硬盘好用？    <br /><strong><strong>大脑不是计算机</strong>      <br /></strong>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 我们的记忆力有时好得很，例如那个在上班途中坐在你对面的美女，即使只见过一面，也很可能终生不忘。我们的记忆力有时差的很，上个礼拜三你午饭吃的什么菜？试试看，八成已经完全想不起来了。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 比较不幸的是，在大脑看来，生词怎么看都不像美女，而更像是上个礼拜三的午饭。这也不能怪它，毕竟，语言和文字才只出现了几千年。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 大脑的工作方式完全不像计算机，所以如果我们希望通过默写几遍的方法，就能把单词“输入”大脑存盘，那么一定会事倍功半了。（关于思考和记忆的话题后文还会继续讨论）    <br /><strong>我很希望这方法能让你过目不忘，可是……     <br /></strong>    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 碎碎念记忆法并不保证过目不忘，因为没有人能把单词变成火辣香艳的美女。碎碎念记忆法只是想办法让生词不那么像上礼拜三的午饭而已。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 好消息是，碎碎念法简单易学且容易操作，对每个单词都同样有效，不会要求你把药涂在耗子的尾巴尖上。    <br /><strong>碎碎念情境记忆法初窥</strong>    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 让我们用一个简单的例子体验一下碎碎念法的所有步骤，然后再详细讨论它的原则和技巧。请注意体会碎碎念法的核心思想：<strong>集中、简短（以便集中）、联系感、可视化、干扰效应</strong>。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 碎碎念法共分6个步骤：阅读、记录生词和构建情境、情境碎碎念、休息、抽象碎碎念、阅读理解。（别担心，每个步骤都很简单）。    <br /><strong>准备</strong>    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 一本阴影版砖头书，最好有一定深度，生词再多也不怕。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 一本英汉双解词典。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 一个16开白纸本，用作生词本。小学生用的大演算就挺好。    <br /><strong>阅读</strong>    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 以段为单位，阅读一段英文，遇到生词也不要立即停下来查词典，尽量理解文意。当然，如果生词较多，并且其中有几个关键词，想完全理解是不可能的，没关系，接下来……    <br /><strong>记录生词和构建情境</strong>    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 翻开生词本，在纸上画两条竖线，把白纸平均分成三条，为方便讨论，我们把这三条分别称为一区、二区和三区。再从头开始阅读，遇到生词时将其记录在一区，然后查词典，选取最符合文意的那个词义，记录在三区。然后再想出一个可视化的实例。例如，我们遇到的第一个生词是“hail”，词义是“冰雹”，然后在脑袋里想像冰雹的样子。第二个词是“sparse”，词义是“稀疏的”，由于形容词大多比较抽象，所以要先构建一个词组，例如“sparse hair——稀疏的头发”，将其分别记录在二区和三区，然后就能实例化了：例如日渐苍老的牛群同志的头发就算得上是“稀疏的头发”了，再在脑袋里回想牛群那地方支援中央的形象。第三个生词是“reverse”，词义是“倒退”，实例是“reverse car——倒车”。如下图所示。</p>  <p><strong><img border="0" alt="" src="http://images.cnblogs.com/cnblogs_com/1-2-3/repeat-senario/words1.jpg" width="703" height="408" /></strong></p>  <p>提示：如果注意到 hail 这个词很容易与 hair 这个词搞混，构建一个“突然下起了冰雹，一个长发少女拼命往屋檐下跑，几块<strong>冰雹穿过了她飘舞着的长发</strong>”这样的情境效果会更好。    <br /><strong>情境碎碎念</strong>    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 休息1至2分钟，休息的方法是：把生词本向前随机翻几页，盖住二区和三区，回忆单词的词义，如果超过10秒还是没有想起某个单词的词义，可以偷偷瞧一眼二区的词组，如果还是想不起来，那就看一下三区的中文吧。接着……    <br /><strong>抽象碎碎念</strong>    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 回到刚刚背过的那页，盖住二区和三区，看着一区，在心中默念：“hail 就是冰雹、sparse 就是稀疏的、reverse 就是倒退”，这次念到“就是”时不必故意去想实例和形象，再把这个过程重复2遍（一共是三遍）。然后盖住一区和二区，在心中默念：“冰雹就是 hail、稀疏的就是 sparse、倒退就是 reverse”，这次念到“就是”时不必故意去想实例和形象，再把这个过程重复2遍（一共是三遍）。然后……    <br /><strong>阅读理解</strong>    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 再从头读一遍刚刚读过的段落，这次没有生词了，应该能够完全理解文意。如果没有100%理解，就再读一遍。    <br /><strong><strong>一分钟复习</strong>      <br /></strong>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 虽说有计划地复习才是背单词的王道，但是实际上很少有人有毅力执行复杂费时的复习计划。所以碎碎念法只要求你每天使用1分钟来复习，更多的复习已经被分散到了“休息”步骤中。1分钟复习的内容是：开始每天的学习之前，将单词本翻到前一天记录的生词那里，盖住二区和三区，回忆单词的词义，如果超过10秒还是没有想起某个单词的词义，可以偷偷瞧一眼二区的词组，如果还是想不起来，那就看一下三区的中文吧。    <br /><strong>碎碎念法的缺点和副作用</strong>    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 多达6步的碎碎念法会使你本就不快的阅读进度变得更慢，特别是一开始不熟练的时候。不过，只要长期坚持，它可以让你的反应更快，语感更强，所以它在总体上会提高你的学习效率，坚持2～4周即可看到效果。如果一开始的时候感到焦急，可以配合使用<a href="http://www.cnblogs.com/1-2-3/archive/2009/03/09/cap-reading.html">上限阅读法</a>。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 碎碎念法有一个副作用：当你平时看中文书或思考的时候，如果恰巧遇到了24～48小时内用碎碎念法背过的单词，会不自觉地去回忆这个词所对应的英文单词“是啥来着？”，这似乎是一个直接经由潜意识触发的强迫性动作，很难抑制。这无疑是一个会中断思考的令人讨厌的效应，好在48小时内背过的单词不会太多，它的影响还不至于太大。    <br /><strong>应用碎碎念法的原则和技巧     <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 一次背3～7个单词</strong> 如果单词太少干扰效应很难发挥效果；单词太多又会很累。一般一次念4、5个单词是比较合适的。前面提到要以段为单位，但是如果读完一段只记录了2个生词怎么办呢？这时不要立即应用碎碎念法，而是应该开始读下一段，直到攒够了3个以上的单词再开始碎碎念。我喜欢一口气读1～2页，攒够5～7个单词再开始碎碎念。    <br /><strong>单一词义原则</strong> 一次只记忆单词的一个词义。要选择最符合书中上下文的那个词义。    <br /><strong>选择最有特点的词义</strong> 例如 pivotal 这个词，有两个词义：“枢纽的”和“关键的”。如果这两个词义都可以符合书中的上下文，那么最好选择最有特点的“枢纽的”这个词义。因为像 crucial、critical、key 这些词都有“关键的”的意思，相近的词义很容易在大脑中互相排斥。而如果先记住 pivotal 是 “枢纽的”，再把它引申为“关键的”就比较容易。    <br /><strong>某些动词名词化之后会比较容易可视化</strong> 例如动词 escalate 意为“升高”，它的一个引申的名词 escalator 是“扶梯”，这个就很容易可视化。再比如动词 impede 意为 “妨碍”，它的名词 impediment 意为“障碍物”，就是大街上常见的那个阻拦汽车的东东。    <br /><strong>选择生活中的例子</strong> 像“苹果”、“椅子”这类有对应实物的名词能够直接可视化。但是很多名词也是很抽象的，像名词 logistics，意为“后勤”，就不能直接可视化。这时就需要你的一点想像力了，例如可以想像公司的后勤部的门上有一个写着“Logistics”的标签。    <br /><strong>不要太勉强</strong> 可视化对记忆有一定的帮助，但也不是什么必胜窍门——用了它并不能保证过目不忘，不用它也不意味着就很难记住。所以对于一些太过抽象的单词，如果实在很难可视化，就不要去勉强了。    <br /><strong>善用词典里面的例句</strong> 词典里面有很多经典的例句可供利用。例如“Man proposes, God disposes——谋事在人，成事在天”，既展现了单词的特点，又能帮助我们区分 propose 和 dispose 这两个很相近的单词。    <br /><strong>获取精确词义</strong> 例如 intricate 这个词，中文解释为“复杂的、难懂的”，但是意为“复杂的”单词又有“complicated、complex、involuted、mazy”等等，而意为“难懂的”单词有“complicated、elusive、mirky”等等。intricate 到底有什么独特之处？只看中文词义往往很难区分它们之间微妙的不同。如果你有一本英汉双解词典，就可以看到 intricate 的英文解释为“containing many detailed parts and thus difficult to understand”。哦，原来intricate 特指“细节多”，那么“intricate story”这个实例就比较贴切了。    <br /><strong>背单词的秘诀——不间断</strong> 一定要保证每天都学习一小时。如果是三天打鱼两天晒网，那么无论使用什么方法都很难取得好的效果。如果你发现自己经常间断学习，可以试试配合使用<a href="http://www.cnblogs.com/1-2-3/archive/2009/03/09/cap-reading.html">上限阅读法</a>。    <br /><strong>How It Works     <br />特征记忆      <br /></strong>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed     <br />ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.    <br />（原文请见<a href="http://www.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/people/matt.davis/Cmabrigde/">http://www.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/people/matt.davis/Cmabrigde/</a>）    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 怎么样？虽然单词的拼写完全打乱了，但是我们仍然可以流畅地阅读。神奇的地方就在于“流畅”二字——我们并不需要费力地去尝试着把错乱的字母捋顺，而是好像可以“直接”阅读这些杂乱的文字。正如文中所说，我们并不是一个接着一个去阅读每个字母，而是把单词作为一个整体来辨认。这揭示了记忆的第一个秘密——我们记忆的是事物的<strong>特征</strong>。另一个很好的例子是一个美术学院的素描高手，他在电车上见到一个美女，虽然当时很惊艳，但是一天之后，他已经忘了这个美女的大多数细节而无法把她画下来。然而如果再次见到这个美女，他还是能立即认出她来。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 所以，当我们想记忆一个单词的时候，在纸上默写个十几二十遍并不是一个科学的方法。    <br /><strong>干扰效应     <br /></strong>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 就像看多了美女会审美疲劳、闻太久香气鼻子会失灵，把一个生词连续默写20遍和写1遍没有多少不同。要想取得好的记忆效果，必须给大脑“新鲜感”。所以碎碎念法采取的是念完“hail 就是冰雹”之后立即接着念“sparse hair 就是稀疏的头发”，而不是把每一句重复3遍。在“情境碎碎念”与“抽象碎碎念”之间要休息1～2分钟也有这方面的考虑。    <br /><strong>利用情境促进记忆</strong>    <br /><img border="0" alt="" align="right" src="http://images.cnblogs.com/cnblogs_com/1-2-3/repeat-senario/tfz.jpg" />    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 大家可能都有这种经验：突然想不起来自己最喜欢的女影星的名字，但是记得她主演过《新龙门客栈》、《旺角卡门》、《警察故事》和《花样年华》，记得她有一个广告的台词是“悲伤的时候微笑，开心的时候流泪，执着的时候不顾一切……”，记得她微笑时尖尖的嘴角，记得她曾是港姐亚军，可以确定她不叫巩俐、章子怡、梅艳芳、赵薇、林青霞……我们能想起关于她这么多乱七八糟的事情，可就是想不起她的名字，为什么？    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 人类对事物的记忆的存储单位，就是该事物的加工单位。辨认面孔时，大脑接受输入（脸孔）之后，只需检查呈现面孔的神经元是否轻易地同时激活，即可知道这个面孔是否是熟悉的。至于回想名字，则必须先认出以前是否看过这张脸，然后希望你第一次看到这张脸时听到的文字信息关联（姓名），能强烈到足以激活神经元。回忆名字总是比回忆脸孔难。    <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 单词，以及由词构成的语言，由于已经成为了思维的一部分，其运作的方式要比单纯的“脸孔——名字”关系复杂一些，但也有很多相似之处。可以想象，一个被熟记了的单词必然与许许多多的其他神经元建立了联系，这些被关联的神经元的种类、数量超乎想象。每一次在不同的上下文中遇到这个单词，每一次回忆、思考、运用这个单词，都成为建立新联系的契机。中文词义只是建立联系的桥梁，但是切不可因此而低估它的作用，因为中文词义已经与很多恰当的（相关的）神经元建立了联系。同时，使用实例化、可视化的方式，以及使用英文解释获得详尽的、精确的词义，都有助于建立一个清晰、有力的联系，以免它成为毫无联系的“不可达对象”而被大脑垃圾回收。</p>  <p><a href="http://www.cnblogs.com/1-2-3/archive/2009/05/04/repeate-scenario.html">推荐：碎碎念情境记忆法——最适合程序员的背单词方法</a>    <br /><strong><strong>参考文献</strong>      <br /></strong>Tom Stafford &amp; Matt Webb，<em>心理和脑（英文原书名为 Mind Hacks）</em>。科学出版社，2007.</p>  <p><img border="0" alt="" src="http://images.cnblogs.com/cnblogs_com/1-2-3/113933/o_logo2_170_r.png" /></p>
